Sham FC does not exist. It is a fictional football club created for parody and satirical commentary on a matter of public interest. Its crest, staff, players, partners, products, prices, fixtures and quotes are all invented. Nothing on this site is for sale, and no sponsorship can be bought.

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Manchester City FC, City Football Group, Abu Dhabi United Group, the Premier League, or any sponsor or company past or present. The crest is an original parody artwork.

The jokes refer to a real case. The factual figures we mention come from public reporting of the Premier League independent commission decision published on 29 September 2026. That reporting says the commission found sponsorship arrangements to be “sham” arrangements. It says about £119.25m was paid in base fees and about £830.69m in “tagged sums” funded by the club's owner, across seasons 2009/10 to 2017/18, and that 114 charges were proven.

Manchester City denies wrongdoing, has said it is “disappointed and surprised” and that it is innocent, and has said it intends to appeal. Sanctions had not been decided when this site was published.

No real person is quoted on this site. Every named character (such as “Rex Tagwell” and “Dame Priscilla Ledger-Wright”) is invented.
